Au Pair Quality Association & RAL certification
My Family Au Pair has been RAL-certified since November 2021. That stands for verified quality in preparation, placement, and support — and makes the visa process easier for many families.
What does the Au Pair Quality Association do?
The Gütegemeinschaft Au pair was founded in November 2004 and has been supported from the start by Germany’s Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ). Its aim is better quality and transparency for host families and young people in the au pair program.

Why are we RAL-certified?
Many embassies only accept original host-family documents for an au pair visa. Express shipping is expensive and not always reliable. With RAL-certified agencies, many missions accept scanned documents — which noticeably simplifies the visa process for our host families.
Certification is demanding: documents and processes are reviewed and must be traceable. Because we built IT-supported, transparent workflows from the start, we meet these requirements in a structured and sustainable way.
